Welcome to The Windlesham Club and Theatre

A Big ‘Thank You’ to our Members

THANK YOU

A big thank you to all those members that responded to last week’s notification about renewing annual membership and a further special thanks must go to all those who also very kindly made a voluntary donation to Club funds.

HELP!

For those of you who may have missed the previous email, even though the Club is closed we are still having to meet various bills, such as gas, electricity and pay for some necessary repairs and maintenance, including essential roofing work. As a consequence, we are asking for your support at this difficult time and if you would be willing to renew your annual membership, which is due next month.

Your contribution would be invaluable in helping the Club get through the months we have had to close. We are, of course, aware that you will have lost half a year’s access, but, in common with many social clubs, we hope that you can see fit to support your Club even though it remains closed. Payment details are below.

THE HALL

The Club Hall’s calendar is pretty much open for 2021. We are aware that many parties and celebrations will have been held over from last year and if you want to take advantage of the excellent facilities available contact Alan Vowles on: 07771 530511. As we have no opening date yet, for the time being we will be able to take reservations for bookings without deposit. Deposits will be required as/when the date is confirmed that the Club will be open and able to accept parties.

TENNIS

Sadly, as with all sports, the tennis courts remain closed too. It is expected that these facilities will be amongst the first to be open when the Government sees fit to relax social protocols.

FINALLY

On a final note, we may not be open for business for the provision of sustenance to help while away these cold winter evenings, but there are still one or two places in the village that are and, as a help for each other, we would like to pass on that…

Windlesham Wines is open daily 12-9pm with a fine selection of beers, wines, spirits, etc at usually very competitive prices

as is The Rashoi, daily 5:30 – 10:30 for take-away service…

Also a message from Mr Ali and his team at The Rashoi with a Special Valentine’s Day OFFER…

We are still not certain when the Club will be able to open but rest assured that as soon as we get the go-ahead we will be at your service providing a safe and friendly environment for you to enjoy a few beers with friends.

Membership fees remain £20 single, £33 for a couple and on-line payment can be made to:

Account Name: Windlesham Club & Theatre
Account No. 36273651
Sort Code: 60-21-04

We thank you for your continued support and very much hope to see you soon
